Hello I have been invited by Gildas to tell you about Friday 25th August at Dorney Lake. Today has been the first day of racing for the Adaptive Rowers. Thankfully the weather was fine with 'mirror' water and sunshine. Rowers competed in four events, each with 2 heats. The Chinese 'Arms only' male single sculler AM1x was not able to finish because he had technical problems, when his seat became disengaged. He was allowed by FISA to race the course a second time and gain a place in the repechage. He was cheered on at the Finish by spectators in the Grandstand. By the way, Gildas is famous today at Dorney having commentated on the aforementioned race in French! Good night Ella - Gildas' Landlady -
